Abstract
The purpose of the work. The article economically substantiates possible modern directions for increasing the
efficiency of using various types of resources to solve specialized problems of creating a comfortable and safe environment
in urban landscape architecture.
Materials and methods. The information base of the scientific research was the materials of open sources in the
field of resource use economics and urban landscape architecture, data on implemented and prospective projects in the
field of Russian and foreign urban planning, and landscape development programs for megacities. System and factor
analysis, morphological analysis, methods of comparison, generalization, analogies, and expert assessments were used
as methodological tools.
Results. The paper considers the current state and resource opportunities for the development of urban landscape
architecture in a rapidly changing and unstable environment. An economic rationale for increasing the efficiency of resource
use in the conditions of a modern metropolis is given. Some provisions of the economic assessment of landscape nature
management have been modernized. The economic, ecological, and social prospects for the development of modern
trends in urban landscape architecture are assessed.
Conclusion. Based on the conducted studies, the main possibilities and prospects for optimizing the economic
parameters and characteristics of resource use in the conditions of the formation of modern urban landscape architecture
are shown.
