Abstract
The role of public administration bodies in the economic development of the country is noted. An overview of the state of digital maturity of industries and spheres of the Russian economy is presented. The analysis of the technological development of the structural elements of the agro–industrial complex - organizations of agricultural engineering and agriculture. The state of staffing for the digital transformation of the agro-industrial complex is investigated. The approaches to the organization of professional development of agricultural personnel are described.
