Abstract

Breeding and breeding work in pig breeding is based on the determination of a large number of productive qualities of animals, as well as on the establishment of a connection between characters. A wide range of relationships is determined by the application of methods of correlation analysis, which helps to identify factors that most significantly affect the productive trait and the establishment of unknown cause-effect relationships between the studied traits.
The article presents the results of studying the indicators of variability and determining the degree of correlation of various traits of sows' productive qualities, as well as assessing the selection and genetic parameters of heritability of the main traits of the productivity of repair young stock of new factory lines in the Belarusian breeding type of Yorkshire pigs.
