Abstract

This work presents specific prophylaxis against anaerobic enterotoxemia in calves. The protective properties of specific drugs have been studied. A comparative characteristic of prophylactic biological products against anaerobic enterotoxemia in cattle is carried out. It was found that in animals immunized with the polyvalent toxoid Clostridium perfringens, the incidence of calf and heifers was absent, calves were 98,5% safe, one goby fell from the injury, while in the second experimental group of animals vaccinated with the TOXIPRA PLUS vaccine, the incidence was anaerobic enterotoxemia was 9,1%, and the safety was 89,4%. Five calves died from anaerobic enterotoxemia with characteristic clinical and morphological changes. During bacteriological examination of the pathological material, isolates of C. perfringens of serotypes C and A were isolated. The use of the polyvalent toxoid Clostridium perfringens against anaerobic enterotoxemia of calves made it possible to characterize the drug as harmless to animals, which has high prophylactic efficacy for calves.
