Abstract
The article provides an overview of the existing conditions for growing medical leeches in Russia and abroad and presents their possible classification. There are five main ways of growing leeches: in containers, aquariums, paludariums, in artificially created biotopes and in natural (natural) ponds. The possible disadvantages and advantages of methods of growing medical leeches are also described. It is shown that most countries use the container method. The advantages of growing leeches in paludariums and biotopes are revealed.
