Abstract

The article presents the results of bacteriological studies of flushes from the prepucial sac in balanoposthitis in dogs. Inflammation of the preputial sac is a multifactorial disease, the leading role in the pathogenesis and etiology of which belongs to the microflora. The leading role of microorganisms Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Pseudomonas аеrиginosa, Escherichia coli has been established both as monoinfections and as part of associations. The isolated microorganisms have multiple antibiotic resistance. The antibiotics kanamycin, cephalexin, and virusid had the greatest bactericidal effect on all isolated cultures. Also, in the course of research, an increased content of Candida fungi sensitive to nystatin was found.
