Abstract
Epizootic well-being and the effectiveness of preventive work against colibacillosis (escherichiosis),
first of all, are provided by specific immunoprophylaxis. Effective vaccination is an important
factor in preserving young stock and productivity of farm animals.
The paper presents a brief description of the disease and the history of the development of vaccines
against colibacillosis, and also analyzes the possibilities of using domestic and foreign biological
products registered for the specific prevention of escherichiosis in the Russian Federation. An
assessment of the current state of the vaccine market in our country is given.
