Abstract
Specific prevention of anthrax is an important link in ensuring the episodic and epidemiological
well-being of the country. The registered anthrax vaccines are successfully used today, along
with their advantages, are not without drawbacks. Efforts to develop a new generation of vaccines
are aimed at increasing immunogenicity while maintaining safety. The most popular ways of implementation
are combining the advantages of vaccines in a complex preparation. The article presents
research on the comparative study of the immunogenic properties of live anthrax vaccines from
STI-1, 55 VNIIVViM strains, and combined vaccine "Antravak".
The advantage of the Antravac vaccine, formed on a combination of live spores and a sorbed protective
antigen, providing a significant increase in immunogenicity, is shown. Vaccination with the
"Antravak" on day 7 caused the formation of guinea pigs in 277–957 times more intense immunity
than analogues. The results of studies of the humoral response registered antibodies to the protective
antigen only in the blood sera of guinea pigs immunized with the Antravak vaccine.
