Abstract

Animal parasitosis is a serious problem for the livestock sector of the country. In this paper, a study of the therapeutic potential of a new antiparasitic drug of prolonged action from the group of natural avermectins lipomec 2 % for hematopinosis of calves and psoroptosis of sheep was carried out. The drug lipomec 2 % showed significant superiority over the drug analog (Baymek) in the fight against hematopinosis of calves. After a single subcutaneous injection, it showed a 100 % effect against hematopinosis of calves for 28 days. Production tests of the drug lipomec 2 % conducted on 620 heads of cattle of different sex and age groups confirmed the positive data of preliminary studies. The drug lipomec 2 % with a single, double injections and in a doubled dose has a high therapeutic effect in sheep psoroptosis. With repeated injections and in a double dose, the drug provides protection against tick damage for a period of more than 45 days.
