Abstract
Sepsis is an urgent problem of modern veterinary medicine. One of the key issues remains the
establishment of methodologies to improve the accuracy, reproducibility and/or clinical value of
the diagnosis of sepsis. The article is devoted to the results of studies of XNUMX cats aged from XNUMX month
to XNUMX years.
Using the PIRO concept as a basis, we have developed a version of the model for dividing sepsis
patients into groups based on their condition. The system is based on the assessment of criteria for
the development of sepsis based on a set of clinical and laboratory signs that determine risk factors
and prognosis of the course of the disease. A method for predicting the possible development of
septic complications on a model of feline panleukopenia has been developed. Criteria for evaluating
PIRO indicators in the diagnosis of sepsis have been formed.
