Abstract

The article presents the results of a study on the effect of inhaled anesthetics on the state of the animal body during orthopedic surgical interventions to identify possible intra- and postoperative complications associated with anesthetic care. The studies were carried out on a group of clinically ill dogs with joint pathologies selected by the method of analogues without regard to gender and age. According to the results of the conducted studies, it was revealed that when using Isoflurane, unlike Sevoflurane, there is a significant decrease in blood pressure; an increase in the frequency of cardiac contractions; nephrotoxic and hepatotoxic effects, however, these indicators have a negligible effect on the general condition of the animal. The priority of choosing an anesthetic was not revealed in our study, since all the studied groups of animals underwent anesthesia well during surgical interventions.
