Abstract

The introduction of antioxidants into the fish diet can compensate for the effects of stress factors. Under stress, the formation of an increased amount of free radicals is observed, which have a destructive effect on the molecules of fats, proteins, etc., therefore, disrupt the work of cellular mechanisms and worsen the state of the organism as a whole. To protect fish from stress, additional antioxidant preparations can be introduced into the diet. The introduction of proanthocyanides contained in grape seed extract (EVC) seems promising. The antioxidant efficiency of compound feed with the addition of grape seed extract (95 % pro-anthocyanides) was evaluated for different methods of application to industrial compound feed of domestic and imported production by measuring the total concentration of water-soluble antioxidants (SCWA).
