Abstract

The article is devoted to feline panleukopenia. The studies involved 30 clinically healthy and 30 patients with panleukopenia. The morphological composition of the blood showed that the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (mm/hour) in patients was on average 3,3 times higher than in healthy animals (p<0,001). The number of erythrocytes in sick individuals exceeded healthy ones (p<0,05). A significant difference was noted in band neutrophils; patients had more of them than healthy ones (p<0,05). The difference between the average indicators of the groups was 5,5 times. The number of eosinophils in the blood was normal, but the difference between the experimental and control groups was significant (p<0,05). We associate the situation with some intoxication of the body of sick animals. Blood creatinine in healthy individuals was 1,2 times higher than in patients (p<0,05). As for urea, its increase was noted in sick individuals, which was due to impaired renal function (p<0,01). The average value of MCV in experimental animals was 0,31±0,10, and in the group of healthy animals 1,42±0,04.
