Abstract
Currently, there is an urgent issue about import substitution with highly effective domestic drugs
used in veterinary medicine for the treatment of diseases of parasitic etiology: ixodidosis, aphonipterosis,
trichodectosis, otodectosis, sarcoptic mange and others. The article presents data on the
study of the insectoacaricidal effectiveness of the modern domestic antiparasitic drug OKVET® EXPRESSTABS
® tablets on dogs spontaneously infested with Ixodes ricinus, Ixodes persulcatus, Dermacentor
reticulatus, Ctenocephalides canis, Trichodectes canis, Otodectos cynotis and Sarcoptes spp.
As a result of the studies, it was found that the acaricidal effectiveness of the drug OKVET® antiparasitic
tablets for ixodidosis lasts 35 days, the insecticidal effect against Ctenocephalides canis
and Trichodectes canis in dogs was observed already 2 days after use and lasts 42–45 days, and an
acaricidal effect was also established against scabies mites Otodectos cynotis and Sarcoptes spp., since
scabies mites were not diagnosed in dogs on the 28th day after application. These studies indicate high
effectiveness OKVET® antiparasitic tablets, which are not inferior to imported analogues.
