More than 10 regions will compete in Perm for the first ever Russian Cup in programming BAS

On April 27, 2025, the final of the Russian Cup for programming unmanned aircraft systems "Parma-BAS" will be held in Perm. The prize fund will be 500 rubles.

A total of 210 participants from 35 regions of the Russian Federation applied for the qualifying round. Sixteen athletes made it to the finals, eight in each division – student and professional. In the first division, the top eight included three representatives of the Ulyanovsk Region, two from the Samara Region, and one each from the Vladimir Region, Yaroslavl Region, and Perm Krai. In the second division, there were two participants from the Republic of Tatarstan and one each from the Donetsk People's Republic, Orenburg, Oryol, Saratov, Tomsk, and Tver Regions. If the finalist athletes are unable to take part in the in-person round for any reason, their place will be taken by the next participants on the list, including those from other regions.

The final of the competition promises to be spectacular, it will be held in the playoff format ("elimination game"). Visualization of the code written by the participants will be demonstrated on multi-meter LED screens of the host site in the presence of experts - participants of the business program on autonomous unmanned aircraft systems, enthusiasts and fans.

"UAS programming is a new spectacular high-tech sport. In real time, viewers will watch on screens how each participant's drone copes with the assigned tasks. The task of the aircraft is to study the terrain and give commands to the ground robot, helping it reach the destination. The winner is the participant whose robot in the final, having overcome all the obstacles, arrives at the destination first. – notes Evgeny Khrychkin, chief judge of the competition, executive director of the Perm Regional Federation of Sports Programming. – The complex technological task is not only programming aircraft operating in a changing external environment, but also programming and visualizing this environment itself.”

The environment for completing tasks at the competition is the company's domestic autonomous flight simulator "Geoscan", the general partner of the competition.

The event will take place at the following address: Perm, Kosmonavtov Highway 111D. Registration of spectators, participants of the business program, plenary discussion "Personnel for achieving technological leadership in the UAS industry" and media representatives is available at the following link:  https://parma-bas.ru/registration The program of the final competition and conference is posted on the official website of the competition https://parma-bas.ru

Sports programming – is a new kind of intellectual sport. Competitions include solving a set of problems or one problem: writing a program in one of the programming languages in a limited time mode, in the corresponding segment of the IT industry. Sports programming was officially recognized as a sport on April 12, 2022.

BAS programming is one of the five disciplines of competitive programming (along with algorithmic, product, robotic programming and information security). Within the framework of this discipline, the code is written for the autonomous flight of a drone or a swarm of drones, as well as the execution of assigned tasks in the conditions of a competitive testing ground.

Federation of Sports Programming (FSP) — a public sports organization that develops and popularizes sports programming in Russia, holds all-Russian competitions. The FSP is also involved in the formation of national teams, training and certification of sports judges, accreditation of venues, preparation of methodological materials, educational projects, development of clubs and sections in all five areas of sports programming. The Federation has 89 active representative offices in the regions. https://fsp-russia.com

Perm regional Federation of Sports Programming (PC FSP) – representative office of the Federation in the Kama region. It is one of the most active FSP operators, organizing high-level competitions in all five areas. In 2025, the FSP PC in the BAS direction organizes two types of competitions in Perm: April 25-27, 2025, the Russian Cup in BAS programming "Parma-BAS" and November 4-9, 2025, the First Russian Championship in BAS programming. https://vk.com/fsppk
