This course includes models for analyzing contemporary problems of economics and economic policy. It is aimed at developing students' skills in analyzing the macroeconomic situation, identifying the problem and the impact of economic policy on it. The ability to choose the right instruments of economic policy to eliminate current problems in the economy, the ability to determine short-term and predict the long-term consequences of political and commercial decisions is being developed. Particular attention is paid to studying the reaction of markets to external and internal signals. The mechanisms of market adaptation to the impact of external impulses, the process of interaction of the real and money sectors of the economy in response to current and expected events, are studied. The course helps to develop and consolidate professional economic knowledge, the ability to apply them to specific situations, taking into account the influence of international factors, for example, sharp changes in the exchange rate, world oil prices, sanctions by foreign partners, the movement of international capital, etc.
