In Klin, there are 51 objects of history and culture of federal significance, 32 monuments of religious significance, 46 monuments and historical buildings, 6 museums, reserves and exhibition halls, 20 hunting, fishing facilities, 24 park municipal recreation areas. Outstanding scientists, musicians, writers, artists lived and worked in Klin. Among them are A. Popov, S. Taneev, K. Timiryazev, A. Vasnetsov. On August 7, 1887, the great Russian scientist D.I. went on a balloon flight from Klin. Mendeleev. Agronomist of the Klinsky district served as M.M. Prishvin. In the village of Borisovo lived the famous Soviet sculptor V.I. Mukhina. And from 1953 to 1955 in the Klinsky district lived an amazing writer V.T. Shalamov. The natives of Klin were the famous actor People's Artist of the USSR M.I. Prudkin and People's Artist of the RSFSR E.P. Leonov, astronaut, hero of the Soviet Union Yu.P. Artyukhin.
