Pozyabin Sergey Vladimirovich was born on May 28, 1977 in Moscow. In 1994, he entered the full-time department of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after K.I. Scriabin" and graduated in 2000 with a degree in Veterinary Zooengineer.

From 2000 to 2003, he was a full-time postgraduate student of the Department of Veterinary Surgery of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education of the Moscow State Academy of Medical and Biological Biology named after K.I. Scriabin. In 2003, under the guidance of Professor Yu.I. Filippova defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of veterinary sciences on the topic "Diagnostics, treatment and prevention of gastric volvulus in dogs" in the specialty 16.00.05 - veterinary surgery.

After graduating from graduate school in 2003, Pozyabin Sergey Vladimirovich worked at the Department of Veterinary Surgery as an assistant, associate professor, professor, since 2017 - head of the department.

In 2005 he was awarded a diploma of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation "For many years of fruitful work and a great contribution to the training of specialists for the agro-industrial complex."

In 2007, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in the Department of Veterinary Surgery.

In 2013 Pozyabin S.V. with the advisory support of the Honored Veterinary Doctor of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor S.V. Timofeeva defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Sciences on the topic "Development and justification of methods for diagnosing and surgical treatment of animals with pathologies of the stomach and spleen" in the specialty 06.02.04 - veterinary surgery.

In 2018, the academic title of professor was awarded in the specialty 06.02.04 - veterinary surgery.

In 2019, by order of the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Pozyabin S.V. was awarded the title "Honorary Worker of the Agro-Industrial Complex of Russia".

Since 2019 - Rector of the Academy.

Since 2020 - by order of the Minister of Science and Higher Education Pozyabin S.V. appointed Deputy of the Coordinating Council for the field of education "Agriculture and Agricultural Sciences" and Chairman of the FUMO VO for UGSN 36.00.00 Veterinary and animal husbandry.

Since 2022 - Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Pozyabin Sergey Vladimirovich conducts pedagogical activity: he reads a course of lectures on operative surgery and topographic anatomy, general and private surgery, anesthesiology, reconstructive surgery. He is the successor of the Moscow School of Veterinary Surgeons: under his leadership, at the Department of Veterinary Surgery, 10 dissertations for the degree of candidate of veterinary sciences were completed and defended, he supervises research with 8 postgraduate students and four doctoral students in the specialty 06.02.04 - veterinary surgery. The main areas of research are the development of measures to reduce injuries and the spread of orthopedic pathologies in productive animal husbandry. The results of the activity are the development and implementation of minimally invasive methods for diagnosing, treating and preventing diseases in animals using innovative approaches using endoscopic and tomographic technologies in veterinary medicine; study of the patterns of occurrence and development, methods of treatment and prevention of orthopedic pathologies of the distal limbs in cattle; methods have been developed that increase the efficiency of intravital ultrasound-assisted bovine oocyte retrieval and subsequent minimally invasive embryo transplantation.

Professor Pozyabin S.V. conducts active international activities, including within the framework of coordination of the work of the academy with the European Association of Higher Veterinary Educational Institutions. Pozyabin S.V. - Editor-in-chief of the scientific journal "Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science and Biotechnology", as well as a member of the editorial board of three specialized scientific publications, deputy chairman of the dissertation council D 220.042.02 and a member of the dissertation council D 220.042.05.

Pozyabin S.V. published more than 126 papers in scientific journals, including those recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation, included in the scientific citation databases of the RSCI, RSCI, Scopus, WoS. He is the author of eighteen patents of the Russian Federation, four monographs. Pozyabin S.V. over 20 educational and methodical works were published, including 9 methodological developments, 12 educational and teaching aids, 2 textbooks.

He regularly undergoes advanced training, including a comprehensive advanced training course on the basis of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, the Russian Academy of Personnel Support for Agro-Industrial Complex Workers and other scientific and educational centers.
