The monograph is devoted to the problem of designing the stability of structures of light industry products during operation. It examines the theoretical foundations of designing the stability of the designs of garments, taking into account all the requirements for the design object as part of the system "artistic conception - the process of design and production of garments - high quality product - consumer of finished products". The stability of the designs of garments is achieved in two ways: by introducing additional parts and means of strengthening the structure without changing the appearance of the product and by optimizing the assembly of materials. The monograph provides a definition of artistic and engineering assembly. A method is proposed for assessing the stability of the structure of a garment unit at the design stage. A method has been developed and patented for determining the stability of the structure of a garment unit in operation. The consumer properties of materials influencing the stability of the garment design have been investigated. The criteria for the stability of the design of the garment are determined, which form the basis of the patented structure of the database "Designing the stability of the design of the garment in operation."
