The development of economic science and business practice in recent decades has focused economists' attention on the problems of mesoeconomics—the sphere located between the macro- and microeconomic levels and encompassing regions, industries, socio-economic ecosystems, and complexes. CEMI RAS was among the first to study mesoeconomics in Russia. CEMI RAS staff prepared and published the following: (2001) the monograph "Mesoeconomics of the Transition Period: Markets, Industries, Enterprises"; (2011) the monograph "Mesoeconomics of Development." This book, "Mesoeconomics of Russia: A Run-Up Strategy," presents the results of recent research by CEMI RAS staff, covering theoretical and applied issues regarding the status and development prospects of Russia's mesoeconomics. The book reflects the specific features of the current period in the development of Russia's mesoeconomics, associated with overcoming the consequences of the epidemic crisis and preparing the country for a new stage of innovative development based on advanced socio-economic and information and communication digital technologies.
