The textbook "Techniques of Army Hand-to-Hand Combat" is a supplement to the study materials for the discipline "Physical Education" in the Suvorov and Nakhimov military schools.
The textbook reflects in detail many years of physical training based on the practice and theory of army hand-to-hand combat. The material is presented in a language that is easy to understand and supported by numerous illustrations. The material of the textbook is divided into theoretical and practical parts.
The first includes chapters on the basics of training, development of physical qualities and classification. The second part contains a detailed presentation of lessons on the technique of striking with various parts of the body, throws, painful and choking techniques, disarming an opponent armed with a knife, machine gun, pistol, small infantry shovel.
The first book of the textbook is divided into nine chapters, each of which has a lesson plan designed for the academic semester, at the end of which there is a mandatory test to assess the assimilation of the material learned and the acquisition of the corresponding qualification.
The material presented in the textbook is designed to double the number of teaching hours compared to similar programs. This will allow for optional classes, and during final exams, certify students as instructors of army hand-to-hand combat - to assist platoon commanders in the event of continuing their studies at higher military educational institutions.
