ISBN 978-5-9908377-1-3

The book is written by a prominent Japanese musician, student of the outstanding pianist V.K. Merzhanova, winner of the III International Competition S.V. Rachmaninov. In the spring of 2016, a book by S. Tshida “Play Rachmaninov” was published in Japanese in Tokyo in Japanese. The proposed publication in Russian is its author's translation. The book of Sadakatsu is distinguished by a surprisingly lively language, sincerity and love for what he writes about - about Russia, its culture, music, people. On the pages of the book, the reader will find the author’s memories of his impressions of Russian life in the 1990s, the period of his student life, his recent visit to Moscow with concerts, and classes with professors from the Moscow Conservatory. The book includes analytical paragraphs on Rachmaninov’s music and methodological tips on techniques for performing his compositions. The publishers of the book hope that it will be useful to readers, and the hearts of many musicians, teachers and all who are not indifferent to Russian art will respond to Faith and Love for Russia of a truly Russian Japanese Sadakatsu.
