Аннотация

Abrupt digitalization in Zimbabwe has transformed consumerism in money markets via mobile money, fintech innovations, and global digital trade connectivity. The review is interested in how the innovations affect economic decision-making during economic adversity amidst hyperinflation and banking service shortages. It aims to analyze adoption trends, evaluate socioeconomic impacts, and determine obstacles to engaging in digital trade. Drawing from a comprehensive survey of recent studies, this article outlines methodologies, results, and limitations with special reference to the role of mobile money in financial inclusion and fintech in cross-border trade. The results of empirical evidence show that digital platforms liberate consumers in urban centers but are frustrated by infrastructural problems in rural areas. The solutions suggested are enhancing regulatory frameworks and widening network coverage to improve trade competitiveness. This analysis is of immense benefit to policymakers and businesses involved in the evolving financial environment of Zimbabwe, addressing existing gaps of the previous research on digital integration of trade. Critical synthesis of research expands on methodologies, findings, and limitations, pinpointing the role of mobile money in financial inclusion and the contribution of fintech to cross-border transactions. Digital platforms expand urban consumers’ horizons but are confronted by infrastructural constraints in rural areas. Suggestions include enhancing regulation and expanding network coverage to enhance the competitiveness of trade. The review provides suggestions for policymakers and business with insights eliminating gaps in research on digital trade integration.
