Аннотация

Digital platforms operate inside accelerated competitive ecosystems where content life cycles shorten, monetization models shift, and user attention fragments continuously. The ability to retain engagement therefore depends not on a single strategic component, but on a systemic interaction of platform agility, competitor learning, ecosystem convergence and user dedication.
This article applies the ABCD Framework — Agility, Benchmarking, Convergence, Dedication — to seven platforms: Instagram (pre-ban), TikTok, YouTube, VK, Rutube, Telegram and Yandex Zen. Instagram is not examined as a current Russian tool, but as a historical benchmark of global engagement optimisation from 2017–2021.
Mixed-method research was conducted using:
✓ platform feature-mapping,
✓ content analysis of 120 creator accounts,
✓ systematic review of 70+ peer-reviewed studies.
Findings show: TikTok leads in agility, YouTube in dedication, Instagram in benchmarking+convergence synergy, while VK and Zen demonstrate adaptive hybridisation. Telegram excels in privacy-driven retention; Rutube remains structurally constrained.
A set of evidence-linked recommendations is developed with measurable KPIs. Results position ABCD not as a static model, but as a predictive instrument for digital ecosystem innovation, especially within Russian-legal media architecture post‑2022.
