On November 23, the International Practical Forum Companion ONLINE 2023 completed its work.
For two days, topical issues of veterinary medicine, training and education of dogs, grooming, genetics, breeding and exhibition training of dogs and cats were discussed at the forum. A distinctive feature of the forum is the opportunity for communication between specialists in various fields, a large-scale exchange of experience and knowledge at the intersection of specialties.
The forum program was presented in 27 sections. Thanks to the forum’s partners, participants were given free access to 14 sections. Also, within the framework of the forum, 5 practical master classes, an in-person business meeting for managers of veterinary clinics “PRO Business” and a traditionally atmospheric Open Studio with important news and up-to-date information for all practitioners working with companion animals were held.
137 lecturers from Russia, Belarus, Italy and China spoke, 124 reports were presented, 14 round tables were held, at which very topical issues of practice were discussed - “Why and how are the lists of antibiotics in bacteriological laboratories changing?”, “Incredible, but true. Is it possible to boost immunity?”, “Issues of surgery for brachycephalic syndrome in dogs”, “Infusion therapy: is everything so obvious?”, “Features of poodle grooming. Important issues of conformation, haircut, health”, “Education or justified cruelty?”, “The welfare of purebred dogs: breeder’s tools”, “Pedigree breeding vs design experiments”, “What awaits the labor market in 2024?” and others.
The forum program included four open lessons of online courses for veterinarians of the Kompanion University project. Each of them was an adapted demo lesson from the general online course program, which included the main elements of training at Kompanion University:
Students also learned how the online learning format is structured, what the value of the course is and how it can be useful in practice. These sections were also free of charge for all participants.

The forum broadcast recorded 7390 unique connection points from 325 cities from 34 countries. The leaders in terms of the number of participants were Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Latvia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, and Spain. The geography of the forum is widely represented by the countries of Europe, Asia and America.

Particularly popular among forum viewers were the sections Visual Diagnostics, Feline Medicine, Gastroenterology, Grooming, Behavior Correction, as well as the thematic section “Vomiting: from symptom to diagnosis”, Open lessons of online courses of Kompanion University, Program for dog owners.
