The article considers multifunctional transformations that occur under the influence of information technology, affecting the economic aspects of society: modifying the market model, changing the behavior of monopolies, reducing the importance of the geographical parameter when making decisions, etc. The author analyzes the process of formation of the theory of the information society, highlighting it as the basis for the analysis of the observed transformations. The multifunctional aspects of the transformation of the economy and society are revealed through the prism of those global socio-economic changes that characterize modern society: a modification of the organization of production activities, a decrease in the importance of bureaucratic management, and changes in the system of value orientations. The phenomenon of the new economy is the result of transformations and the basis for further development of the economy and society.

The article discusses current trends in the digital transformation of the UK economy. Based on the analysis of the national digital strategy, as well as the digital evolution index, it is shown that the UK is one of the most developed digital economies, demonstrating high rates of digital development and leading in the spread of innovation. A promising area is FinTech. The United Kingdom has achieved significant results in the development of the ecosystem of digital financial technologies; digital banks are successfully operating in the country. The author noted that as a result of Britain's exit from the European Union, the EU will certainly lose its digitalization leader. In terms of digital transformation, this country is ahead of Germany, France, Spain, Italy and lags behind only the countries of Northern Europe.

Currently, issues of territorial development are receiving increased attention. The formation of agglomerations is considered as one of the anti-crisis measures contributing to the economic development of the city and the region. However, there is no integrated approach to addressing these issues. The article presents the results of a study of points of view on the definitions of the terms "agglomeration", "urban agglomeration", "socio-ecological-economic system" proposed by various authors. The relationship between the concepts of “agglomeration” and “socio-ecological-economic system” is defined, the definition of the term “agglomeration” is refined, and an author's approach to understanding the term is developed.

The article is devoted to pressing issues of Russia's foreign trade in energy resources, its capabilities in the field of oil, gas and coal. The state of the dynamics of export of the main types of energy resources, the potential opportunities and the dynamics of the extraction of primary energy resources themselves are analyzed, and changes in the geographical structure of the country's exports and the impact of sanctions on these changes are determined. New export destinations are also identified. Investments are being made of investment opportunities in these sectors, as well as investment cooperation opportunities. In conclusion, the author identifies the main directions of development in the field of foreign trade in energy resources.

The paper analyzes the financial and economic activities of the subjects of the North Caucasus Federal District. Both the North Caucasus region as a whole and its subjects, in particular, are subjected to financial and economic analysis. The methodological basis of the research was the methods of financial and economic analysis, economic and statistical methods, methods of system analysis, as well as general scientific methods of comparisons. Also, for the financial and economic analysis, the index method developed by the authors was used, which allows ranking the constituent entities of the Russian Federation both in terms of total tax revenue and for certain types of taxes and fees received in their territories. The studies are based on data provided by the Federal Tax Service and the State Federal Statistics Service of the Russian Federation. As a result of the research, specific proposals were made on the development of the subjects of the North Caucasus Federal District.
