Abstract

The article defines the efficiency of using various modes of intensive aerobic processing of compost mixtures based on sewage sludge (WWS) into biocomposts. The use of intensive aerobic processing in comparison with traditional composting technologies made it possible to reduce the loss of organic matter and nitrogen in compost based on WWS by half. Complete disinfection of the compost mixture based on WWS from pathogenic vegetative microflora is achieved by its aerobic processing in thermophilic mode (at a temperature of 55°C and above) for 48 hours.
