Abstract
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt are among the major major players in the Middle East region. It is these countries that have a significant impact on the processes taking place in this political space, and its stability, respectively, largely depends on the situation in the political sphere of Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Thus, the main purpose of this article is to establish current trends in the development of political power in the above states, to search for all kinds of similarities and differences between the modern political elite of the Kingdom and the Republic and their predecessors.
