Abstract
The topic of the relationship between such categories as the system of law and the system of legislation has been discussed by legal scholars for a long time. These discussions are based on the thesis of the relationship between law and law, that is, they touch upon the side of the qualitative characteristics of law. Soviet and then Russian doctrine approved the idea that the structure of law has an objective character. To date, research continues, the main topic of which is the study of the main theoretical and methodological issues about the system of law, the system of legislation, their structure and interaction, correlation. Therefore, the topic under study in this essay is relevant for domestic legal science.
