Abstract
The purpose of the work is to study the prospects of vending sales of medicines and pharmaceutical products.
Materials and methods. The theoretical, methodological, and empirical basis of the study were: materials of research
companies, publications specializing in the analysis of the pharmaceutical market; analysis of the specific features of
vending trade and the performance of companies operating in the vending market.
Results. The development of any type of business depends on the market situation, which is influenced by many
factors, including consumer preferences and the structure of consumer demand, the potential capacity of the market, the
degree of its regulation, development prospects, etc.
In the current economic realities, there is an active transformation of forms and methods of doing business. The
traditional forms of selling goods are being replaced by new options based on the use of modern technical means and
technological developments. Faster response and minimal human involvement is a trend in almost any consumer-oriented
industry.
The need for hygiene products, disinfectants, over-the-counter medications to relieve pain and fever may arise at
any time. Therefore, the formation of the assortment with the vending form of sale is aimed at meeting the needs that
many people periodically have.
Vending trade is considered a promising and highly profitable type of business. For each of the directions of the
vending business, its own vending machines are created, differing in size, design, set of functions and other parameters.
One of the locations of the network of vending machines may be the stations of the Moscow Metro and suburban stations
of the Russian Railways.
Conclusion. According to the authors, when developing this business idea, it is necessary to consider the specific
features of doing business, which are: creating a logical, information and service infrastructure; choosing the location of
placement and monitoring the functioning in real time; providing constant technical support for the functioning of devices, etc.
