Abstract

The article discusses the impact of housing affordability on the demographic indicators of the region. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the impact of housing affordability on fertility and migration rates is carried out. Housing affordability is defined as the ratio of the cost of housing and the disposable income of citizens for a certain period.
Based on the analysis, the regularities of the impact of housing affordability on the birth rate and migration indicators of the region are formulated. Based on the results of the analysis, conclusions are presented about the importance of housing affordability in solving various tasks related to ensuring the economic security of the region. The study is conducted on the example of the Kirov region.
