Abstract

The wild color of the ferret, which is characteristic of him in nature, is black and brown with a pronounced mask on his face. Under cellular conditions, in the process of domestication and selection, new stains (golden, pearl, pastel), resulting from a recessive mutation, appeared. In recent years, ferrets with original color and hairline have appeared in amateur farms of the country. The structure of the hairline of imported ferrets of the “original” color is considered in the work, as well as a comparative analysis with the hairline of breeds of standard color (breeds recorded in the state register of selection achievements) is carried out.
