Abstract

In hepatitis and hepatosis of cows, along with the traditionally used biochemical tests, we studied such indicators of the residual nitrogen system as urea, creatinine and uric acid, which were practically not used in the diagnosis of liver diseases in cattle. High diagnostic informative value of uric acid was established (in 100% of cases the increase in the level of this indicator outside the normal range) for both forms of pathology, which allows recommending uric acid in combination with other diagnostic indicators as an informative test for cattle liver diseases.
