Abstract

The aim of the study is to choose an effective concentration of feed additives based on benzoic and formic acids to increase productivity in pig farming. A scientific and economic experiment was carried out on pigs: taking into account age, live weight and growth rate, four groups of piglets (one control and three experimental) of the Canadian selection "GENESUS" of 20 animals were formed by the method of analogs. In the course of the experiment, the following was studied: the buffer capacity of the feed before and after the introduction of the supplement, average daily gains, morphological and biochemical composition of the blood. It was found that the introduction of the veleguard AS feed additive into the general diet of young pigs contributed to an increase in live weight gain and had a positive effect on the morphological and biochemical composition of the blood. The increase in live weight in the experimental groups indicates an improvement in metabolic processes in the gastrointestinal tract, better digestibility and the correct formulation for the physiological groups of animals, taking into account the buffer capacity of the feed. The calculation of economic efficiency indisputably shows that the introduction of an additional 3,5% / ton of Veleguard AS feed into the compound feed SK-4 and SK-0,5 within 45 days after weaning piglets from sows is an economically viable method of increasing productivity and preservation young pigs.
