Abstract

For the first time in the Omsk region, nodular dermatitis was registered in a number of households. The diagnosis is confirmed by PCR. Quarantine has been introduced and a plan has been developed for stopping and eliminating foci of infection. The number of cattle in dysfunctional foci was specifically immunized with a vaccine against sheep pox and nodular dermatitis. The immune status showed that in sick cows, compared with intact animals, a significant decrease in the absolute content of lymphocytes in peripheral blood and an increase in the T-lymphocyte population were observed.
