Abstract

The article discusses the clinical signs in cats with panleukopenia in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). A classification of the clinical signs of the disease among domestic and stray cats by frequency of occurrence and age groups is proposed. It is shown that the territory of the DPR is permanently unfavorable for the incidence of feline panleukopenia. So, for the period from 2015 to 2018, the situation was characterized by an increase in the incidence of stray animals with the involvement of domestic cats in the epizootic process. It has been established that most of the clinical symptoms of panleukopenia are recorded in all feline age categories, regardless of gender. Specific symptoms characteristic of different age categories were also noted. The incidence rate of panleukopenia of stray kittens of the 0-12 month old age group is 1,8 times higher in relation to domestic kittens of the same age category; in adult domestic cats, the disease was reported 2,4 times less with respect to stray cats. The incidence rate of females in relation to males is 1,5 times higher.
