Abstract
During the study, 290 animals belonging to different breeds and age and sex groups were tested by PCR analysis, with 4,1% of positive results. The largest percentage of infected animals was found in Schwyz (10%), Aberdeen-Angus (8,7%) and Black-and-White (5,7%) breeds, the smallest – in Hereford breed (3,7%). Among the animals of the Galloway and Sychevsky breeds positive results were not found. At the same time, positive test results were recorded only in adult animals: in cows of different ages – 6,7%, bulls from one and a half years old – 6,1%.
