Abstract

During 2018–2019, mycological studies were performed of 1527 202 samples received from veterinary clinics in Moscow from animals with suspected dermatophytosis. Using the method of direct microscopy allowed to confirm dermatophytes in 15,6 cases (236 per cent). Mycological culture of 8 samples revealed 3,4 dermatophyte isolates (7%). XNUMX dermatophytes isolated from dogs and cats belong to the species Microsporum canis. A dermatophyte isolated from a Guinea pig is identified as Trichophyton benhamiae. Most of cases were diagnosed in summer and autumn periods.
