Abstract
In the course of this work, the range of iodine-containing feed additives for animals registered in
the Russian Federation was studied. It was established that as of January 1, 2024, 261 iodinecontaining
feed additives were registered in the Russian Federation.
The Russian Federation is a leader in the development and production of iodine-containing feed
additives for animals registered on its territory. The largest number of feed additives is presented
in solid forms – 241 feed additives (92,34 %). When distributing iodine-containing feed additives
among target animals, it was found that the largest number of additives was intended for pigs –
69 feed additives (26,44 %). It was found that 235 iodine-containing feed additives (90,04 %) were
provided for productive animals, and 26 feed additives (9,96 %) were provided for non-productive
animals. It was revealed that the largest number of iodine-containing feed additives (151 feed additives
– 57,85 %) are chemical and/or microbiological synthesis.
When assessing the dynamics of state registration of iodine-containing feed additives for animals,
it was noted that it is uneven. The average annual registration of iodine-containing feed additives
is 3,45 % – 19 feed additives per year.
